The Arusha East African Training Institute offers the following Ordinary Diploma programmes  (NTA Level 5 & 6 for 2 years).

Journalism Programme

Technician Certificate in Journalism (TCJ) NTA Level 5                                                                

Programme Objectives and Description

This is a one year Programme in Journalism and Radio/TV Broadcasting of two semesters after applicants completed NTA Level 4 in Journalism OR Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examinations (ACSEE) with at least one principal pass in relevant subjects. The main objective is to develop capability for the learners to apply generic competencies that will enable them to gather and produce materials for print and electronic media using camera, TV and radio equipment.

Ordinary Diploma in Journalism (ODJ) NTA Level 6                                         

Programme Objectives and Description

This is a one year programme in Journalism and Radio/TV Broadcasting of two semesters, all learners who completed NTA Level 5 in Journalism qualification that is obtained after having completed Form VI and pursued a one year journalism course OR having completed Form IV and pursued NTA Level 4 and 5 in journalism are eligible for admission into Level 6 training programme. The main objective is to develop capability for the learners to apply generic competencies in assisting in managing news rooms and studios, write and analyze issues, and edit media material for both print and electronic media.

 

International Relations Programme

Technician Certificate in International Relations (TCIR) NTA Level 5

Programme Objectives and Description

This is a one year programme of two semesters, after applicants completed NTA Level 4 in International relations OR Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examinations (ACSEE) with at least one principal pass in relevant subjects.    The main objective is to produce qualified and competent in International relations personnel who can work in Tanzania foreign policy departments, other sectors dealing with foreign relations as well as international organizations at national to international levels.

Ordinary Diploma in International Relations (ODIR) NTA Level 6  

Programme Objectives and Description                                                                                                                                               

This is a one year programme of two semesters, all learners who completed NTA Level 5 in International relations qualification that is obtained after having completed Form VI and pursued a one year international relations course OR having completed Form IV and pursued NTA Level 4 and 5 in international relations are eligible for admission into Level 6 training programme.

The main objective is to produce qualified and competent in International relations personnel who can work in Tanzania foreign policy departments, other sectors dealing with foreign relations as well as international organizations at national to international levels.
